FUTURE CHASER
Future Chaser are a 4-piece alternative rock band from Derry, Northern Ireland. Having solidified their lineup in 2005 the group went on to achieve critical acclaim, appearing on BBC'S ATL TV AND RTE'S weTV. They were also crowned 'best band' at Derry's Gasyard Fiele 2007 as a prelude to winning RTE 2fm's School of Rock 2008, an all-Ireland competition. Later that year the band appeared at Oxegen festival. Since then the band has been focusing on perfecting their recording technique, whilst still enjoying playing live on the local gig circuit. Praise for Future Chaser:
AU Magazine:
"Serrated guitars, vice tight drums and impassioned lead vocal are employed to create deliciously spiky melodies, songs like 'Novatrix' and 'Wake Up Soon' are propelled forward with all the devastating force of a Scud missile."
Hotpress:
"There was a real swagger to their performance and the song they played had a huge Green Day-style chorus, which two days later I'm still humming.
- Stuart Clarke
RTÉ 2fm:
"The level at which the bands were operating for school kids was astounding, especially their ability to perform live on national radio. Congratulations to the winners Future Chaser, they looked good and sounded good...they'll go a long way"
- Cormac Battle (ex-Kerbdog/2fm presenter)"
